The short version: Last Tally has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address, or location. It creates a random Player ID on your device, uses it to run online matches and, through gameplay telemetry, to fix and balance the Game, and keeps raw telemetry for 180 days. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites. Email us any time for a copy, a deletion, or to opt out of telemetry.
Who we are
Last Tally is published by Lunana Global Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, which is responsible for your personal information. This policy covers the Game and this website. Our Privacy Officer, the person in charge of protecting personal information, can be reached at hello@lasttally.com.
What we collect and why
We collect only what the Game needs to work, stay fair, and get better:
| Data | Why | Legal basis | Shared with | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Player ID: a random identifier created on first launch and stored on your device (in the iOS Keychain, so it survives reinstalling on the same device) | Keep your progress and purchases together, run online matches, link telemetry, enforce bans | Contract; legitimate interests (security) | Photon (matchmaking); our telemetry servers | On your device until removed; 180 days in raw telemetry |
| Callsign (for example “PILOT-7F3A”), derived from the Player ID | Show you to other players in online lobbies and matches | Contract | Other players in your match | As long as the Player ID |
| IP address | Connect you to game servers, receive telemetry, prevent abuse, estimate coarse region | Contract; legitimate interests | Photon; Google Cloud; our website host | 180 days in raw telemetry; providers’ short log periods |
| Device and app details: device model, operating system, graphics processor, memory, app version and build, install and session identifiers | Diagnose crashes, performance, and compatibility | Legitimate interests | Google Cloud | 180 days |
| Gameplay telemetry: mission starts, results, and retries; difficulty; story screens viewed or skipped; radio-prompt answers; combat totals; and, twice a second during a mission, your aircraft’s position in the mission area, speed, health, and current target | Fix bugs, balance missions and matches, detect cheating | Legitimate interests; contract (fair online play) | Google Cloud | Raw events 180 days; de-identified totals may be kept longer |
| Online match data: aircraft state, actions, and scores exchanged during a match | Run multiplayer matches | Contract | Photon; other players in your match | Not kept by us after the match |
| Purchase records (when purchases are available): product, time, price, and store transaction ID, never card numbers | Deliver items, handle refunds and chargebacks, prevent fraud, keep tax records | Contract; legal obligation | Apple or Google (who process the payment) | As long as tax and accounting law requires |
| Crash reports Apple shares with developers if you turn this on in your device settings | Improve stability | Your choice in device settings | Apple | Under Apple’s policy |
| Support emails you send us | Answer you and keep a record of the request | Legitimate interests; legal obligation | Our email provider | As long as needed to resolve the request |
| Website visits: IP address and browser details in hosting logs; no cookies, analytics, or trackers | Deliver and secure this website | Legitimate interests | Vercel (hosting); Cloudflare (DNS) | Providers’ short log periods |
The Player ID is used only to operate the Game (progress, matchmaking, security, and diagnostics), never for advertising or profiling.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, microphone, precise location, or advertising identifier. The Game shows no third-party advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and makes no automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Service providers
These providers process personal information for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Photon Engine (Exit Games Inc., United States): multiplayer matchmaking and match traffic;
- Google Cloud (United States, Oregon region): telemetry storage;
- Vercel (United States): website hosting;
- Cloudflare: website DNS and email routing.
Apple and Google distribute the Game and process payments as independent companies under their own privacy policies. We will update this list before any new provider receives personal information, for example a purchase-management service when in-app purchases launch.
Where data is held
We are a Canadian company, and our service providers process data mainly in the United States. Data stored there may be accessible to the courts, law-enforcement, and national-security authorities of that country. For players in the EU and UK, transfers to Canada rely on adequacy decisions, and transfers to United States providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and UK extension) or standard contractual clauses. We assess the protection given to personal information before it leaves Quebec, as Quebec law requires.
How long we keep it
Raw telemetry is deleted on a rolling 180-day schedule. De-identified totals (for example, how often a mission is won) may be kept longer and cannot identify you. The Player ID stays on your device until you remove it. Records of bans are kept for as long as the ban lasts. Purchase records are kept as long as tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute obligations require, and support emails as long as needed to resolve the request.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under PIPEDA, Quebec’s Law 25, the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, or to opt out of gameplay telemetry, email hello@lasttally.com with your callsign, your device model, and roughly when you played, so we can find your records; we may ask for more detail to confirm the records are yours. We reply within 30 days. Opting out of telemetry does not limit the Game, and we never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
You can also complain to a privacy regulator: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information, the UK ICO, or your EU data-protection authority.
Children
The Game is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from children under 14 in Quebec without a parent’s consent. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child is playing, contact us.
Security
Telemetry and website traffic are encrypted in transit, our telemetry servers accept only requests carrying the Game’s key, and access to production systems is restricted. We collect little, which keeps the impact of any incident small. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the regulators the law requires.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics, so it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, which we do not do in any case.
Notice for US state residents
In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (Player ID, IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (gameplay telemetry), and device information, from your device, for the purposes described above. We disclose them only to the service providers listed above. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will announce it in the Game or on this site, where possible 30 days before it takes effect, and update the effective date above. The current version always lives at this address.
